The peştamal is a thin towel with tassels used in the hamam (Turkish bath) and also one of the most popular souvenirs. You’ll often see locals using peştamals on the beach because of their surprisingly high absorbency and quick drying time in the sun. You can easily find peştamals from local vendors in the city center of Bodrum, boutique shops along the beach, and at public markets.
