Bodrum is a city on the Bodrum Peninsula, stretching from Turkey’s southwest coast into the Aegean Sea. It has a area of 650 km².

The city features twin bays with views of Bodrum Castle. This medieval fortress was built partly with stones from the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, completed in the 4th century B.C. The city is also a gateway for nearby beach towns and resorts. consisting of countless small bays and 11 main attraction points such Gümüşlük, Bitez, Gölköy, Türkbükü, Torba etc.

There are publicly and privately owned marinas, and beatiful saling possibilities. Not only the sea food but local green herbs are also very famous in this side of the country.

When you reach to the Port by Cruise Ship you will see the Aegean front Castle built by the Knights of St John as the Castle of St. Peter or Petronium on the north which is just 25 minutes of walking on the coast.

While walking you will see the small shops on the Barlar Sokağı ( i.e. Bar Street) where you can enjoy a cold beer or a hot Turkish tea depending on your taste.
